Hand-poured in small batches in my 300-year-old fisherman’s store beside the beck in Staithes, using coconut and rapeseed wax, an unbleached cotton wick and pure essential oils—with no synthetic fragrance oils.

How to burn

Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 5mm.

On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach close to the edge of the jar. This helps the candle burn more evenly and prevents tunnelling.

Burn for no longer than four hours at a time. Keep the wax free from wick trimmings, matches and other debris.

Candle safety

Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children and pets.

Allow the jar to cool before handling and discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains.
