I’m Becky, the maker behind Staithes Candle Co.

Everything is handmade by me in small batches in my little 300-year-old fisherman’s store beside the beck in Staithes, North Yorkshire.

What began with candles has grown into a collection of home fragrance, bath, body and wellness products — all made with the same simple idea: beautiful fragrance, thoughtfully chosen ingredients and no synthetic fragrance.

Rooted in the village

Staithes is a huge part of what I do. The old stone buildings, fishing heritage, sea air and the little beck outside my workshop find their way into the products and the stories behind them.

Even Mizpah Bath, Shower & Body Oil takes its name from the traditional Staithes boat still moored beside my workshop.

Thoughtfully Made

I keep my formulations simple and purposeful, choosing ingredients for what they actually bring to the product.
