At Staithes Candle Co, we believe home fragrance and wellbeing products should be made with ingredients you can trust.
All of our candles, diffusers and body products are created using natural, plant-based ingredients and pure essential oils wherever possible.
Every product is handmade in small batches in North Yorkshire using carefully chosen materials designed to give a clean burn, gentle scent and a calm, natural feel.
Coconut & Rapeseed Wax
Our candles are made using a blend of coconut and rapeseed wax. This plant-based wax burns cleanly and evenly and is free from paraffin and unnecessary additives.
We choose this wax because it holds essential oils well and creates a softer, more balanced fragrance compared to many mass-produced candles.
Natural wax candles are often preferred by those looking for a simple, plant-based alternative to paraffin candles.
Essential Oils
We scent our candles, diffusers and sleep products using pure essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils.
Essential oils are extracted from plants, flowers, fruit and herbs, giving a natural aroma that feels softer and more balanced in the home.
Lavender, bergamot, patchouli, citrus and herbal oils are often used in aromatherapy to create calming, uplifting or grounding blends.

Plant-Based Diffuser Base
Our reed diffusers are made using a plant-based diffuser base derived from renewable sources, blended with pure essential oils.
This allows the fragrance to travel slowly through the reeds to create a long-lasting but gentle scent without the harshness often found in synthetic home fragrance.
Refills are available so bottles can be reused, helping to reduce waste.
