What are your reed diffusers made with?
Our reed diffusers are made with pure essential oils blended into a plant-based diffuser base derived from renewable sources such as soy. This allows the fragrance to travel slowly through the reeds to create a gentle, long-lasting natural home scent.
Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils?
Our reed diffusers are scented with pure essential oils. We do not use synthetic fragrance oils. The plant-based diffuser base allows the essential oils to diffuse gradually, giving a softer and more natural aroma.
What is the diffuser base you use?
We use a plant-based diffuser base made from renewable ingredients, often referred to as a soy or Augeo-style base. This type of base is commonly used in natural home fragrance because it allows essential oils to diffuse well while keeping the scent smooth and balanced.
How long do your reed diffusers last?
Our 100ml reed diffusers usually last around 8–12 weeks depending on room temperature, airflow and the number of reeds used. Turning the reeds regularly will help keep the scent fresh.
How many reeds should I use?
You can control the scent strength by adjusting the number of reeds. Use fewer reeds for a lighter fragrance and more reeds for a stronger scent. Smaller rooms often need fewer reeds.
Why does my diffuser smell subtle?
Natural reed diffusers made with essential oils give a softer scent than synthetic home fragrance products. Room size, airflow and reed position can all affect how strong the fragrance feels.
Are your diffusers handmade?
Yes, all Staithes Candle Co reed diffusers are made in small batches in the UK using pure essential oils and a plant-based diffuser base to create a clean, balanced home fragrance.
Do you sell refills?
Yes, we offer reed diffuser refills so you can reuse your bottle and reduce waste. Refills contain the same essential oil blend and plant-based base as the original diffuser
