Essential Oils vs Fragrance Oils – What’s the Difference?

When choosing candles, diffusers or home fragrance, you may see the terms essential oils and fragrance oils used. Although they can smell similar, they are very different in how they are made and how they feel when used in the home.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are natural oils extracted from plants, flowers, leaves, bark or fruit. They have been used for generations in aromatherapy because of their natural fragrance and traditional association with relaxation and wellbeing.

What are fragrance oils?
